CRAWL SPACE REPAIRS

Crawl Spaces are unique in the problems they have.  A crawl space is framed in the middle of the home and generally have a traditional foundation around the perimeter.  The framing on the inside of the home can sag from improper support, split wood or too much weight.  This can cause your doors to stick, floors to bounce or the general "character" of old homes.   If you have a perimeter foundation issue such as brick cracking on the outside, sloping floors around the perimeter or similar perimeter foundation issues then give us a call.

If you live in the Atlanta metro area and are having crawl space issues such as

      • Crawl Space Beams that sag or are rotten
      • Crawl Space Piers that lean or are missing
      • Sagging Floors
      • Bouncing Floors
      • Interior doors stick or have cracks above them

Your first step is to call a Structural Engineer.  You can find a list we refer HERE.

The Engineer will come out and make a full assessment of your home.  You DO NOT want a contractor doing an investigation of your home for the following reasons:

  1. The home could have been framed wrong - so replacing existing posts/columns may not solve the problem.
  2. The current issue may be due to increased loads during remodeling (bathrooms, kitchens, etc).
  3. A contractors specialty is making repairs, and engineers specialty is evaluating and determining problems.

Once you have an engineers report, Foundation Worx can repair most crawl space foundation issues.  We repair many of the issues a crawl space foundation can have.
